Dr. Azhar was born and raised in Makah, Saudi Arabia. He is a devoted husband and father of six children. In his free time, his hobbies are reading, poetry, and writing.
Dr. Azhar has gained vast Experience and knowledge by working for major medical Institutions such as Ministry of Health. The National Guard King Khalid Hospital, Saad Specialist Hospital, and the International Medical Center (IMC) where he established the Pediatric Center of excellence, he also worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Collage of Medicine at Umm Al-Qura University of Makkah, recently he joined the teaching staff of the college of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University.

Dr. Azhar is actively engaged in medical education nationally and internationally. He is a previous member and board examiner in the Pediatric Council of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties. Dr. Azhar has published various papers in international medical Journals. He is a speaker in various international Conferences. He also published the first educational Pediatric Cardiology Book in Arabic. Dr. Azhar has a special interest in teaching and lecturing on medical ethics..
